TESTIMONIALS

Weekend group trip for family of 9

I just wanted to take a moment to say how wonderful you have been in arranging this for us and for making sure we had everything we needed. I can’t express my gratitude enough.
We had the most incredible weekend – the house you found for us was beyond perfect for my family. The kids particularly loved the animals! And of course we all loved the hot tub. We were very lucky to have such great weather for it too!
The Newsham Park Hospital Ghost Hunt was one heck of an experience. I am so grateful that you found this for us to do as part of the itinerary, my dad was really blown away by this. It was very different and so interesting! Those of us that did this part thoroughly enjoyed it.
The ferry trip across the Mersey went down so well with all the family. My nan said how this was something she had always wanted to do and at 82 I felt unbelievably happy that I was able to give her this experience. We also loved exploring the iconic Matthew Street and The Cavern where The Beatles played.
There is no way I would have found such a perfect house and activities without your help. We certainly made the most of the house and location and enjoyed good food, good vibes and relaxation together.
I have already recommended you and Century Tours to friends and family and will continue to do so. I also can’t wait until the next opportunity to do something else with you!

3-day incentive trip in London

Century Tours were unbelievably on the money with our team weekend incentive trip. They put so much thought into every element of the trip, making it completely unique. We were honestly blown away. We loved how laid back yet organised Katie and Andy were, letting us enjoy every moment in a relaxed way. Exploring so much of London was an unexpected treat as was the quirkiness of our accommodation and the incredible food that was all included. The Krays tour hosted by the charismatic Lock Stock actor Vas Blackwood was absolutely captivating and the Street Hunt game a hilarious highlight. The attention to detail Century Tours put into creating the itinerary meant there wasn’t a hint of stress, from transport to choosing beautiful places to eat and stay Katie and Andy had it covered. It was a wonderful experience for our whole team, perfectly fitting our brief and I was amazed at what was included for the budget I’d set. There’s no way I would have thought of this without their help, and I certainly couldn’t have pieced it all together so expertly. Having them on-hand to deliver the whole experience was invaluable, and we loved their company as much as each other’s. We’re still talking and laughing about the fun we had 6 months on, and probably will be in 6 years! That has to tell you something.

Team activity following MICE industry conference

Having worked with Century Tours before, we had complete faith that they would pull together an amazing post-event team day for us – and we couldn’t be happier with their service. Everything ran seamlessly . Exactly what we have come to expect from their team.
The treasure hunt was a stroke of genius on Century Tours’ part. This raised the bar and then some in terms of a team challenge that served two purposes perfectly – showcasing Anglesey as a travel destination and giving people time together to get to know each other. Everyone loved it and we re-named Katie ‘Wincy Willis’ after the brains behind the clues on the TV version of Treasure Hunt. It was written as a tailor-made activity for us and I have no idea how she pieced it all together. It was the perfect activity to get people out and about experiencing the location in a totally different way, which is quite a challenge when dealing with travel industry professionals who have usually seen and done it all!

Personal battlefield tour of The Somme

I initially contacted Andy and Katie at Century Tours some time ago regarding the research into my Grandfather’s Army service during WWI. All we knew was that he had served in France, had come from an unhappy family background and had enlisted underage. What Century Tours unearthed was nothing short of incredible.
So I booked up a weekend tour with my son in order to discover more! At the advice of Century we were privileged to be going to the Somme on the 106th anniversary. The whole experience was nothing short of exemplary from start to finish. We were collected early on the Friday morning as part of their ‘door to door’ service and taken south (via a last minute unexpected PCR visit for my son, all arranged by Century Tours), then following breakfast we arrived in France.
The vehicle was large and comfortable. There were planned tours on route to the accommodation and a perfect packed lunch supplied. All this was in the build up to my Grandfather’s story. We arrived at the accommodation in the afternoon and I must say I was very impressed. A two level upside down house in the middle of rural France with views of the river and an historical British war time cemetery to explore a five minute walk away. Evening meal was a superb BBQ supplied by our hosts. The next day our tour continued to the delightful town of Albert. After a visit to the underground WWI museum and after a refreshing French cafe coffee, we were taken to a remote war time cemetery location where the story of my Grandfather and the fate of his comrades and Battalion truly unfolded.
To say I was in complete awe is an understatement. Andy had everything recorded and evidenced in a folder which we were later presented with as a keepsake. Once at the final cemetery for that day where it was believed my Grandfather would have been treated for his injuries nearby, we were presented with an original ‘services rendered’ lapel badge and two replica service medals that he would have been issued with but lost in the midsts of time. It was truly emotional. After returning to the accommodation to freshen up, we were treated to a superb meal in one of the many authentic French restaurants in Albert. The local people and business owners were so polite and respectful that the whole atmosphere was incredible. After a sound nights sleep we were taken to the incredible location of Lochnagar crater, followed by Thiepval memorial. Andy’s expert knowledge of the period was evident throughout the whole weekend.
Then it was our time sadly to return to Calais for lunch and our return shuttle service to Blighty.
I can highly recommend Century Tours and my testimonial doesn’t do the hard work undertaken by our hosts Katie and Andy full justice, but needless to say I’ve already booked up with my son for a ‘gangster tour of London’s Eastend’ later in the year and a possible further tour next year. Highly recommended 10/10. From my heart and that of my son’s – thank you 🙏
