Whether you want to be completely immersed in the history of our ancestors, learning of the Normandy landings and battles beyond during WWI, or weave battlefield tours into a more varied trip, we can tweak our offering to suit your group.

Included in this tour proposal is a battlefield-focused draft itinerary together with some alternative activity suggestions that can be incorporated as team-building, relaxation or educational experiences.

We can alter the itinerary to include one or more of these as required.

Our aim is to make sure your group tour experience is not only hassle-free, but also a memorable and enjoyable trip that provides something for all types of group – families, corporate teams, student or special interest groups.

Day One

9.30am:
Depart West Midlands for Folkestone

Lunch stop

2.30pm:
Eurotunnel crossing to Calais

3.30pm:
Travel to Normandy

7.30pm:
Check in to accommodation

8.30pm:
Evening meal

Day Two

8am:
Breakfast at accommodation

9am–1pm:
Guided tour of British landing beaches Gold, Juno and Sword Planning for D-Day and overview of the scale of operation D-Day museum at Sword beach.
1pm:
Lunch in seafront café

2.30pm:
Visit to Pegasus Bridge and Merville battery

6.30pm:
Return to accommodation

8.30pm:
Evening meal

Day Three

8am:
Breakfast at accommodation

9am-1pm:
Visit American landings beach, batteries and the American cemetery at Omaha and Point de Hoc batteries.

1pm:
Lunch en-route to afternoon tour

2.30pm:
Utah beach and Carentan, covering the American airborne landings and battle of Carentan

6.30pm:
Return to accommodation

8.30pm:
Evening meal

Day Four

8am:
Breakfast at accommodation

10am:
Check out and depart Gite

11.30am:
Visit Honfleur en-route to Calais / Lunch

2.30pm:
Travel to Calais

5.30pm:
Return to England via Eurotunnel

6.30pm:
Depart Folkestone

Private chef experience (From £75pp)

Choose from a range of delicious, gourmet menus and have them prepared, cooked & served for you by a personal chef at your holiday home. A wonderful way to treat yourselves one evening after a full-on day of tours and trekking.

Half day electric cycle tour (from £90 pp)

Includes all equipment and personal guide Take a private tour with a local guide on electric bikes.

You can choose from a number of possible cycle tours, including:

Discover the famous UNESCO World Heritage Site, Mont Saint-Michel island, and its Abbey — an exceptional example of monastic architecture. The Abbey has been considered a historic monument in France since 1862 and is a sight for sore eyes.

Take the foodie’s food and drink tour to test and taste local delicacies and specialities!

Kayaking (from £30pp)

Includes all equipment and professional instructor

Take to the water in 2-man kayaks and take in breathtaking views from the sea of the cliffs of Roches Noires, Trouville-sur-Mer and Villerville.

This is a 2-hour activity accessible to anyone craving some fun!

No experience necessary.

Ancestry workshop (£30pp)

(Requires each guest to provide their own laptop)

Start your own family tree on Ancestry with our expert guidance and support with a 2-hour workshop. We will show you the basics of navigating the Ancestry site so you can start building your family tree. This can be incorporated into the tour as an after-dinner activity.

We will focus on finding ancestors who may have served in the first or second world war to help you discover for yourself the heroes of your past.

Genealogy research (£75pp)

Alternatively, let us do the work for you in advance of your trip. We will start the research process for you and present the information we find about serving ancestors during your tour of the battlefields.

Unearthing a family connection as we immerse you in our ancestors’ history will make the journey all the more poignant and personal.

An afternoon of History and Art in Bayeaux (£25pp)

Includes transport to and from the museums and entry tickets.

To include:

  • The Bayeux Tapestry (audio-guided tour)
  • The MAHB – Baron Gérard Art and History Museum
  • Cathedral and historical quarter of Bayeux
